Most runners train with friends, training partners, or running groups, but they tend to compete alone. The Battle of the South aims to change that by emphasizing team-based competition in the 5K and 10K. Experience the benefits of racing as a representative of your running club, multi-sport group, or corporation: feel the motivation of having people count on you, the support of teammates pushing you to do your best, and the exhilaration of celebrating together at the finish line.

Individuals can still compete as solo runners in the 1K, 3K, 5K, and 10K.

Game Face On

Look good in battle

All participants at the Battle of the South will get a full sublimation race singlet. The front will be customized with the logo of their affiliated running club, multi-sport group, or gym. The back will be customized with their preferred first name. Runners also have access to our FREE on-site makeup artists, who can prepare you for battle with your choice of simple athletic eyeblack or bold warpaint. This unique experience will enhance your race day look and create lasting memories. Plus, with photographers stationed along each route, you'll be captured in all your fierce glory as you run.

The spoils of victory

Earn loot worth keeping

At the finish line, participants will receive a unique commemorative dog tag that functions as a medal. Engraved with "Battle of the South" and "5K Finisher" or "10K Finisher," you can have the converse side further personalized by sponsor Roadtag.ph for FREE at their location in Westgate, Alabang. Engrave the dogtag with your race time and place, personal motto, or emergency information. This keepsake is perfect for celebrating and remembering your epic race day!

There will be three different divisions that individuals and their organizations can compete in: running group, multi-sport group, or business.

Organizations can compete in the 5K and 10K categories.

For the 5K, there will be 21 team winners:

Running club division:

-Top 3 male teams

-Top 3 female teams

-Most sub-30 minute finishers (both genders)

Multi-sport division:

-Top 3 male teams

-Top 3 female teams

-Most sub-30 minute finishers (both genders)

Business division

-Top 3 male teams

-Most sub-30 minute finishers (both genders)

What are the competitive categories for individual runners?

Individual runners can compete in the 1K pet run, 3K, 5K, and 10K.

For the 1K pet run, there will be three overall winners.

For the 3K run, there will be six winners: the three top male runners, and the three top female runners.

For the 5K run, there will be six winners: the three top male runners, and the three top female runners.

For the 10K run, there will be six winners: the three top male runners, and the three top female runners.
